The heat pipe air preheater utilizes the principle of phase change heat transfer. Internally, a partition completely separates the high-temperature exhaust gas channel from the combustion air channel.
High-temperature exhaust gas from industrial furnaces/boilers flows through the heat pipe evaporation section, where heat is transferred to the working fluid inside the heat pipe, causing the fluid to absorb heat and vaporize.
The vapor flows to the heat pipe condensation section, releasing heat to the ambient-temperature combustion air.
The gaseous working fluid condenses and liquefies, flowing back to the evaporation section by gravity or capillary force, continuously circulating for heat exchange.
The heated high-temperature combustion air is then sent to the furnace for combustion, realizing the resource utilization of waste heat from the exhaust gas.
The exhaust gas and air are independent of each other, virtually eliminating the risk of cross-contamination and leakage. The entire heat exchange process requires no pumps, employing passive heat exchange.
System Value: Improved combustion efficiency and fuel savings. Preheating the combustion air reduces furnace heat consumption, resulting in more complete combustion. Gas-fired boilers can save 8%~15% energy, while coal/biomass boilers can save 10%~18%, significantly reducing fuel costs.
Reducing flue gas heat loss: Recovering sensible heat from exhaust gases that would otherwise be directly discharged reduces energy waste and simultaneously lowers carbon emissions.
Improving furnace operating conditions: Stabilizing furnace temperature reduces CO and soot produced by incomplete combustion, thus lowering pollutant emissions.
