In many industrial processes, scrubber performance depends heavily on stable and controlled inlet gas temperature. Hot process air can reduce scrubbing efficiency, increase chemical consumption, and accelerate corrosion inside the scrubber. To solve this challenge, a custom-designed stainless steel finned tube air cooler is installed upstream to cool the process air before it enters the scrubbing unit.


This custom air cooler is engineered specifically for applications requiring high corrosion resistance, low pressure drop, and reliable thermal performance—even when operating near atmospheric pressure and with traces of H₂S in the gas stream.

  • Suitable for high humidity (75–90% RH)

4. Internal Flow Optimization

  • Uniform gas distribution across the coil face

  • Smooth inlet and outlet transitions

  • Integrated drainage for condensate

  • Optional mist eliminators if required


Thermal Performance Advantages

The cooler is engineered to reduce process air temperature from 130 °C to 40 °C, ensuring the downstream scrubber operates within its optimal range:

  • Reduced scaling or corrosion inside the scrubber

  • Longer packing and media life

The finned-tube configuration, combined with the ambient air temperature at 1,500 m elevation, allows accurate thermal design without oversizing or excessive fan power.
