Vacuum Dryer Internal Heat Exchanger
The internal heat exchanger of a vacuum dryer is a key component used to transfer heat under vacuum conditions. Its function is to regulate the temperature inside the drying chamber by absorbing or releasing heat to achieve the drying process of the material.
In vacuum dryers, internal heat exchangers are usually made of metal, such as stainless steel. They are installed inside the drying chamber and are in contact with the material inside the drying chamber. Internal heat exchangers usually have large heat exchange surfaces for more efficient heat transfer.
Internal heat exchangers are usually designed with the following factors in mind:
Material selection: Internal heat exchangers need to be made of high-temperature and corrosion-resistant materials to adapt to the special working environment in vacuum dryers.
Design of heat exchange surfaces: Internal heat exchangers should be designed to maximise the heat exchange surface area to increase heat transfer efficiency. Usually sheet, tube or coil structure is used to increase the surface area.
Heat Medium Flow: Internal heat exchangers can transfer heat by direct contact with the heat medium, or indirectly, such as through a circulating system of hot oil or cooling water.
Temperature control: The internal heat exchanger is usually connected to a temperature control system in order to monitor and regulate the temperature of the drying chamber in real time. This can be achieved by means of sensors and feedback control loops.
