Evaporator: The evaporator of an ammonia cooler is a key component in an IQF system. The evaporator is installed in the freezer compartment of the refrigeration equipment and is responsible for absorbing heat from the food product and freezing it quickly in a short period of time.

Compressor: The compressor compresses the ammonia into a high temperature, high pressure gas. This process raises the temperature and pressure of the ammonia gas in order to release the heat in the subsequent condenser.

Condenser: The high-temperature, high-pressure ammonia gas enters the condenser, where it releases heat, cools and transforms into liquid ammonia. The condenser is usually designed as a highly efficient heat sink to ensure rapid cooling of the ammonia gas.

Expansion Valve: Liquid ammonia enters the evaporator through an expansion valve that controls the flow of liquid ammonia. In the evaporator, the liquid ammonia evaporates again, absorbing heat from the food and freezing it quickly.

Fans: Fans are used to promote air circulation, accelerating the evaporation process of ammonia in the evaporator and ensuring that the cold air evenly covers the food surface for rapid freezing.
