Centrifugal Air Compressor Waste Heat Recovery Application Scope

Centrifugal air compressors generate a large amount of heat during operation, which mainly comes from compressed air and lubricating oil. Waste heat recovery system collects this heat through heat exchangers and other equipment.

The collected heat is transferred to cold water or other media through the heat exchanger to raise its temperature. This process transfers heat from the high temperature components of the air compressor to the lower temperature medium.

The heated medium (usually hot water) can be stored for subsequent use such as heating, hot water supply etc. Alternatively, the hot water can be used directly for heating needs in industrial production processes.

After the heat exchange the air or lubricating oil needs to be cooled for the proper operation of the air compressor. The cooled medium can be recycled back into the air compressor to continue to participate in the compression process.

Through the centrifugal air compressor waste heat recovery system, the heat that would otherwise be wasted can be converted into useful energy, thus improving energy use efficiency and reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions. At the same time, waste heat recovery can also reduce the operating temperature of the air compressor, extend the service life of the equipment and reduce maintenance costs.
