Graphics card liquid cooling systems are liquid cooling heat exchange kits that replace the original three-fan air coolers of graphics cards. They rely on coolant circulation to remove heat from the GPU core, memory, and power supply MOSFETs, specifically designed to cool high-power gaming cards and AI computing power graphics cards such as the RTX 4090/5090 and A100/H100. They are divided into three main categories: consumer-grade all-in-one liquid cooling (AIO), custom liquid cooling systems, and server-grade liquid cooling plates.

Core Components:

GPU Cold Block (corresponding to the optical module cold plate): Copper-plated nickel base with built-in microchannels; the full-coverage design simultaneously adheres to the GPU core, memory, and power supply, eliminating localized hotspots and acting as a heat absorption core.

Water Pump (same function as the built-in water pump in the CDU): Drives coolant circulation; all-in-one liquid coolers have a built-in micro water pump, while custom liquid coolers use an independent high-flow water pump.

Radiator (corresponding to CDU plate heat exchanger)

Aluminum/copper multi-layer finned tubing, fan-driven heat dissipation, specifications 120/240/360/480mm, heat is released to the air here.

Hose + Quick Connector

Sealed circulation tubing, transporting coolant; rigid tubing is used for industrial server solutions.

Coolant

Pure water + ethylene glycol corrosion inhibitor; fluorinated insulating fluid (immersion type) can be used for high-end computing equipment.

Working Principle

GPU under full load generates heat → heat is conducted to the full-coverage copper water block; A water pump pushes the low-temperature coolant through the microchannels of the water block, the liquid carries away the heat; High-temperature liquid is transported along the tubing to the radiator (external heat exchanger); The radiator fan forces convection, dissipating heat into the air, cooling the coolant; The low-temperature liquid returns to the GPU water block, continuously circulating heat exchange in a closed loop.
