Marine Transformer Air-Cooled Heat Exchanger
Air cooling dissipates heat through forced or natural airflow, suitable for medium-to-low power marine transformers.
During operation, heat generated by the core and windings transfers to the tank walls or internal cooling tubes.
This heat further conducts to external cooling fins, raising their temperature.
Cooling fans activate, blowing cool air over the fin surfaces. The air absorbs heat, increases in temperature, and is expelled from the compartment, thereby cooling the transformer.
Suitable Applications
Low-power transformers (typically ≤500kVA) on small to medium-sized vessels (e.g., fishing boats, workboats).
Well-ventilated areas such as ship decks or engine rooms with low ambient temperatures (≤40°C).
Scenarios requiring high cooling system reliability and eliminating coolant leakage risks (e.g., food transport vessels, ships with dense electronic equipment).
