As a core finned tube heat exchanger installed at the boiler tail, the economizer is specially designed to preheat feedwater for heat recovery boiler units. It adopts counter-flow heat exchange structure: high-temperature flue gas flows through the outer side of finned tube bundles, while low-temperature boiler feedwater circulates inside the tubes. The flue gas waste heat is fully transferred to the feedwater, raising the water temperature before it enters the boiler drum or steam generator.
This preheating process greatly reduces the heating load of the heat recovery boiler. The boiler no longer needs to consume extra fuel or waste heat to heat up cold feedwater, effectively improving the overall thermal efficiency of the entire waste heat recovery system. Meanwhile, the cooled flue gas lowers the operating pressure of subsequent dust removal and exhaust treatment equipment, extending the service life of downstream system components.
