Working Principle
Heated hydrogen gas absorbs loss heat from generator windings and core
Hot hydrogen flows cross‑flow over finned tube bundle
Heat transfers to cooling water inside tubes; fins enlarge gas‑side heat transfer area
Cooled hydrogen returns into generator housing for recirculation
Hot cooling water carries heat away to plant cooling tower
Critical safety requirement: Strict gas‑tight construction to avoid hydrogen leakage; no hydrogen‑water cross‑mixing.
