Heat Exchanger for CHP Systems

Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems, also known as cogeneration systems, generate both electricity and useable heat energy from a single energy source, often a fuel. Heat exchangers play an important role in CHP systems by easing the transfer of thermal energy across different process streams.

Air-to-Water Heat Exchanger:

This type of heat exchanger transfers heat from the CHP system's engine or exhaust gases to a water-based medium, such as a hydronic heating system or a domestic hot water supply.

Exhaust Gas Heat Exchanger:

An exhaust gas heat exchanger captures heat from the engine's exhaust gases and transfers it to a heat transfer fluid, such as water or a thermal oil, which can then be used for heating applications.
