Dry Coolers for Battery Storage Systems
Dry coolers are a type of heat dissipation equipment used in battery storage systems to control the temperature of the battery system to ensure its normal operation and prolong its life. Batteries generate heat during the charging and discharging process, and if they are not cooled in a timely manner, high battery temperatures can affect their performance and life, and even cause safety problems.
A dry cooler transfers the heat generated in the battery system to the surrounding environment by means of air convection to reduce the temperature of the battery. In battery energy storage systems, the dry cooler is usually closely integrated with the battery pack. Through the contact between the heat sink and the battery, the heat generated by the battery is rapidly conducted into the dry cooler, and the heat is taken away with the assistance of a fan. This helps to keep the battery within the appropriate temperature range, improving its performance and life, and providing a safer operating environment.
