Dilution Air Steam/Air Heat Exchanger for Ammonia Mixing
Customer working conditions:
Air volume 3000 cubic metres, air heated to 160C with steam for ammonia mixing
The process usually consists of the following steps:
Supply of steam: High temperature steam is produced by means of a steam generator or boiler system. This steam will be used to heat other media such as air.
Heating of air: The air is passed through a heat exchanger or similar device that exchanges heat with the steam, thereby raising the temperature of the air.
Ammonia Mixing: The heated air is used to mix ammonia. This mixing can be used in a variety of industrial processes, such as as a reactant in certain chemical reactions, or to create a specific atmosphere in a particular manufacturing process.
Temperature Control: Temperature control is critical throughout the process to ensure that the gas mixture reaches the desired temperature and does not exceed safety limits.
A common application of this method is in chemical processes such as catalytic cracking and ammonia synthesis. Ammonia gas mixtures are commonly used to prepare catalysts for ammonia synthesis, while steam-heated air provides the required reaction temperature.
