Workflow of Air Compressor Waste Heat Recovery System
The following is a more detailed workflow of the waste heat recovery system for air compressors:
Step 1: Waste heat generation
Air compressor in the process of operation, compressed air will produce a lot of heat, while the lubricant will also absorb part of the heat and the temperature rises.
The second step: heat exchange begins
The high-temperature compressed air and high-temperature lubricating oil discharged from the air compressor enter the heat exchanger in the waste heat recovery device. In the heat exchanger, there is a full heat exchange with the circulating water.
Step 3: Cold water heating
The circulating water absorbs heat and gradually increases in temperature, turning into hot water.
Step 4: Hot water storage or use
The heated hot water can be transported to the storage tank for storage according to the actual demand, or directly supplied to the place where hot water is needed, such as staff bathroom, industrial cleaning, etc.
Step 5: Circulation
After heat exchange, the temperature of compressed air and lubricating oil is lowered and continues to participate in the normal working cycle of the compressor. And the circulating water continues to circulate in the system, constantly absorbing the newly generated waste heat to maintain a continuous supply of hot water.
Critical to the overall workflow is an efficient heat exchanger design that ensures maximum recovery of waste heat, while also ensuring system stability and reliability. Through precise temperature control and water flow regulation, the waste heat recovery system is able to adapt to different compressor operating conditions and hot water demand scenarios, achieving the goals of energy saving, emission reduction and efficient resource utilisation.
