Maintain a Boiler Helical Coil through regular inspection, cleaning, and operating control.

First, check the coil periodically for scale buildup, soot, sludge, corrosion, leakage, and vibration damage. Deposits on the tube surface reduce heat transfer efficiency and can cause overheating, so the coil should be cleaned on a scheduled basis. Water-side cleaning may involve chemical descaling or flushing, while gas-side fouling is usually removed by brushing, air blowing, or washing, depending on the service conditions.

It is also important to monitor operating pressure, temperature, and flow rate. Unstable flow, excessive temperature, or pressure fluctuation can shorten coil life and increase the risk of tube failure. Keep the feedwater or circulating medium within the recommended quality range to minimize scaling and corrosion.

During maintenance shutdowns, inspect the welds, tube bends, supports, and connections for signs of wear, cracking, or deformation. If the system handles corrosive media, pay close attention to material condition and wall thinning. Replacing damaged sections early helps prevent larger failures and unplanned downtime.

In short, good boiler helical coil maintenance includes routine inspection, proper cleaning, water quality control, leak checks, and timely repair of worn parts.
