Carbon Steel Spiral Heat Exchange Coil for Boiler

Carbon steel spiral coil is wound by seamless boiler tube. Medium flows inside tube; spiral flow generates secondary centrifugal turbulence, greatly improve heat‑transfer coefficient.

Two typical working modes:

1. Flue‑gas / fire‑side heating(boiler steam generator): Tube inside: feedwater → steam; outside contact high‑temp flue gas. Small water‑volume, fit for drum‑less steam generator.

2. Immersed in water tank(indirect heating): Tube inside: steam / thermal oil; outside immersed in tank water, heat storage water indirectly.

Advantages

  1. High thermal conductivity of carbon steel, cost‑effective vs stainless steel

  2. Spiral turbulence strengthens heat exchange, compact structure, large heat area within limited space

  3. Good high‑temp pressure resistance; thermal expansion released freely, low thermal stress for frequent start‑stop

  4. Support full customization according to heat load, dimension restriction, drawing 1:1 replacement

Disadvantages

  1. Carbon steel easy rust; anti‑corrosion treatment required; not fit corrosive fluid

  2. Local over‑burn damage → whole coil replacement, hard partial repair

  3. Longer pipeline brings higher flow resistance, higher pump power consumption

  4. Bending process strict: must control tube wall thinning rate at bending position

Application:

  • Drum‑less spiral coil steam generator

  • Boiler economizer /waste heat recovery coil

  • Immersed heating coil inside hot‑water tank / pressure vessel

  • Thermal oil heating system, industrial process heating
