Which Common Anti-corrosion Coatings Can Be Used on Dry Coolers?

In high humidity environments, the following are some of the common anti-corrosion coatings that can be applied to the metal surfaces of dry coolers:


Stainless Steel: Stainless steel has inherent good corrosion resistance and is suitable for high humidity environments. Common stainless steel materials include the 304 and 316 series, which are resistant to corrosion and high temperatures.


Galvanised: Galvanising is the process of covering a metal surface with an anti-corrosion coating of zinc. Zinc has good corrosion resistance and protects metal surfaces from moisture. Electro-galvanising and hot-dip galvanising are the two commonly used methods of galvanising.

Epoxy Coating: Epoxy coating is a commonly used high-performance coating that provides excellent resistance to corrosion and abrasion. It creates a strong protective layer on metal surfaces and is suitable for high humidity and harsh environments.

Polyester Coating: Polyester Coating is a corrosion-resistant plastic coating that provides good weathering and UV resistance. It can be applied to metal surfaces to provide effective corrosion protection.


These anti-corrosion coatings can be selected according to specific needs and environmental conditions. When selecting and applying anti-corrosion coatings, factors such as the material of the dry cooler, the environment in which it will be used, its expected life, and its cost need to be considered.
