1. The concept of finned tube


Finned tube is a heat exchange element, mainly to improve heat exchange efficiency, usually by adding fins on the surface of the heat exchange tube to increase the outer surface area (or inner surface area) of the heat exchange tube, so as to improve the heat exchange efficiency The purpose of the heat exchange tube.


2. What types of finned tubes can be classified according to the working principle?


At present, the most common and widely used is the partition wall heat exchanger, and the design and calculation of other types of heat exchangers are often referred to the partition wall heat exchanger. When the evaporator used in the low-temperature refrigeration system of the finned tube works at a low temperature (below 0°C), the surface of the finned tube generally has the problem of frosting. The impact of frosting on the performance of heat exchangers is reflected in the reduction of its heat transfer coefficient and the increase of air resistance. A reasonable heat exchanger structure should reduce the impact of these two aspects at the same time. When the frost starts to form, the surface roughness of the evaporator increases, causing the heat transfer area to increase, and the gas flow rate also increases, so the heat transfer coefficient K increases at the initial frosting stage, but as the frost layer continues to thicken, the heat transfer coefficient K increases. The thermal resistance to heat increases and the final heat transfer coefficient K decreases.


When the airflow passes through the evaporator, because the water vapor in the air is continuously deposited on the surface of the finned tubes, the relative humidity of the air decreases, and the amount of frosting on the surface of the finned coil tubes along the direction of the airflow gradually decreases, so the fins in the front rows of the evaporator The frosting of the sheet tubes is serious, and the frosting of the last few rows of tubes is relatively light.


If the variable-pitch fin structure is adopted to make the fin pitch downstream along the wind direction smaller and smaller, it can maintain its high heat transfer efficiency under frosting conditions and prolong its frosting time. After the evaporator adopts the variable-pitch finned tube structure, when the air vertically sweeps the staggered finned tubes, the staggered distribution of the finned tubes makes the upstream finned tubes have a flow around the downstream finned tubes, which strengthens the front half of the finned tubes. Part of the heat exchange capacity, the distribution of the finned tubes at the back narrows the flow path and increases the flow rate, thereby enhancing the heat transfer in the second half of the finned tubes.


3. Structure and characteristics of finned tube radiator


The finned tube is rolled from an aluminum tube as a whole, has no contact thermal resistance, high strength, thermal shock resistance and mechanical vibration, good thermal expansion performance, and has a considerable extended heat exchange surface.
