What Parameters Need to be Provided for Customized AHU
Basic parameters: clarify the working conditions and load
1. Air handling capacity (air volume)
Unit: m³/h or kg/h, need to specify the system required air supply volume, return air volume, fresh air volume (e.g. “total air supply volume 10000m³/h, fresh air ratio 30%”).
Influencing factors: space area, floor height, number of air changes (e.g., office is usually 5~10 times /h), personnel density, etc.
2. Temperature and humidity parameters
Indoor design parameters: target temperature (e.g. 25℃±2℃), relative humidity (e.g. 50%±5%).
Outdoor meteorological parameters: summer / winter air-conditioning calculation of dry bulb temperature, wet bulb temperature of the installation site (such as summer 35 ℃ DB / 28 ℃ WB, winter - 5 ℃ DB), for heat exchanger selection.
Air supply status point: air supply temperature and humidity (e.g. “air supply temperature 15℃, relative humidity 90%”), or cooling and heating load demand (e.g. cooling load 50kW, heating load 30kW).
3. Cold and hot media parameters
Cold water system: water supply temperature / return water temperature (e.g. 7℃/12℃), water quality requirements (whether softened water, whether containing impurities).
Hot water system: water supply/return temperature (e.g. 60℃/50℃), pressure (e.g. 0.4MPa).
Steam system: steam pressure (e.g. 0.3MPa), temperature (saturation temperature or superheat temperature).
Electric heating: If electric heating is used, power requirements and power supply conditions (e.g. 380V/50Hz) should be specified.

Special Functional Requirements
Purification requirements: whether to meet the clean room standards (such as ISO 8), whether to configure high-efficiency filter (HEPA), activated carbon adsorption section (to remove odors).
Anti-corrosion and moisture-proof: if applied in humid environment (e.g. basement, swimming pool), it is necessary to explain whether the heat exchanger needs to do anti-corrosion coating (e.g. epoxy resin), whether the box is made of 316 stainless steel.
Energy-saving module: whether to configure heat recovery section (such as plate heat recovery, rotor heat recovery), frequency converter (fan / water pump frequency control).
Installation and space conditions
1. Equipment shape and installation dimensions
Maximum permissible dimensions (L × W × H, e.g., 3m × 2m × 2.5m), whether limited by the height of the room, the size of the doorway.
Interface location requirements: air inlet / outlet direction (left / right), duct interface size (such as DN600 round interface), condensate drain location (required slope ≥ 3%).
2. Installation environment
Indoor/outdoor installation: outdoor rainproof and sunproof measures (such as waterproof coating on the box and rainproof eaves on the top) should be considered.
Vibration and noise limitations: whether to install vibration dampers (e.g. spring dampers), whether the machine room needs additional sound insulation treatment (e.g. wall with soundproof cotton).
Control and automation requirements
1. Control system
Control mode: whether to be integrated into the building automation system (BMS), communication protocols (such as Modbus, BACnet).
Sensor configuration: whether to configure temperature and humidity sensors, wind pressure sensors, differential pressure switch (monitoring filter clogging).
Operation mode: whether it is necessary to automatically switch between seasons (e.g. summer cooling + dehumidification, winter heating + humidification), multiple AHU linkage control.
2. Safety and protection functions
Fan overload protection, motor overheating protection, anti-freezing protection (low temperature alarm for hot water coil in winter).
Fire damper configuration: whether to install 70℃/280℃ fire damper on the air duct, in line with the fire code.
Other special requirements
Material Requirements: Box plate material (galvanized steel + insulation cotton / stainless steel), thickness of the insulation layer (e.g. 50mm rubber-plastic insulation, thermal conductivity ≤ 0.03W / (m・K)).
Standby function: whether to set up a standby fan, heat exchanger standby circuit to ensure system redundancy.
Maintenance convenience: the number and size of access doors (e.g. ≥ 600mm × 600mm), whether the functional section can be disassembled for cleaning.
