Tube fin heat exchangers are core thermal management components widely deployed in containerized energy storage systems. They work together with EC fans to form air-cooled condenser assemblies for the liquid cooling loop of battery clusters and PCS converters. The heat generated by lithium-ion batteries and power conversion systems is carried away by ethylene glycol coolant; the tube fin heat exchanger dissipates heat to ambient air, maintaining stable operating temperature inside the storage container.
Working Principle
Batteries and PCS generate heat during charging & discharging.
The closed liquid cooling system circulates glycol solution to absorb waste heat.
Hot coolant flows into the tube fin heat exchanger.
Forced air from EC axial fans passes through fin surfaces to transfer heat into the atmosphere.
Cooled glycol circulates back to cool the battery cabin and PCS cabinet continuously.
Key Performance Requirements
Control battery operating temperature range: 20 ~ 35°C
Reduce temperature difference between battery cells
Avoid overheating during peak discharge
