Working Principle
For heat conduction, when hot palm oil or other heat medium flows inside the finned tube, the heat is conducted through the tube wall to the fins. As the fins are usually made of materials with high thermal conductivity, such as aluminum, copper, etc., they are able to quickly transfer heat from the tube to the finned surface.
For convection heat transfer, outside the finned tube, cold air or other cooling medium flows over the fin surface and exchanges heat with the fins. The presence of the fins increases the heat exchange area, allowing the cooling medium to more fully absorb the heat from the fins, thus realizing the cooling or condensation of the hot medium, such as palm oil, inside the tube.

Heating link: In the pre-treatment process of palm fruits such as cooking and pressing, it is necessary to heat the palm fruits or palm flesh to a certain temperature to improve the oil yield and oil quality. Cooling link: In the refining process of palm oil, it is necessary to cool the palm oil after decolorization, deodorization and other treatments to prevent oxidation and deterioration of oil and grease at high temperature. Large finned tube heat exchanger can use cold air, cold water, etc. as the cooling medium to cool the palm oil at high temperature, so as to make it reach the appropriate storage or packaging temperature.
Condensation link: In the process of palm oil production, some water vapor, solvent vapor and other gases will be generated. The large finned tube heat exchanger can be used as condenser to cool and condense these vapors into liquid, to realize the recovery and reuse of vapors, and to improve the economy and environmental protection of the production process.
