Industrial Gas-to-Gas Heat Exchangers for Genset Heat Recovery
When a generator set (e.g. diesel, gas) is in operation, only about 30%-45% of the fuel energy is converted into electricity, while the rest of the energy is dissipated in the form of waste heat (exhaust, cooling water, lubricating oil). The heat recovery system recovers waste heat through a heat exchanger and uses it to heat process media, domestic water or to generate electricity, thus improving the energy utilization rate (up to 70%-85%).
Core Recovery Objects:
High-temperature exhaust gas: temperature up to 300-600 ℃, containing a large amount of sensible heat, is the main heat source for heat recovery.
Cooling medium: engine cylinder liner water (70-90 ℃), lubricating oil (50-80 ℃), used for low-temperature heat recovery (such as preheating fuel, heating domestic water).
Air-to-Air Heat Exchanger (Air-to-Air Heat Exchanger) is used to recover heat from high temperature gases (e.g., generator set exhaust) and transfer it to another gas (e.g., combustion air, process gas) to realize energy recycling.
Core Principle
Countercurrent/cis-flow heat transfer: two streams of gas flow in opposite or the same direction, transferring heat through metal walls (finned tubes, plates).
Key Parameters:
Inlet Gas Temperature: The exhaust gas of the generator set is usually 300-500℃, which needs to be matched with the heat exchanger's temperature resistance level.
Heat exchanger capacity: depends on gas flow rate, temperature difference between inlet and outlet and heat exchanger efficiency (usually 60%-90%).
