Horizontal Dry Cooler 200kw for Use at The Seaside
When using a horizontal dry cooler (200kW) at the seaside, special attention needs to be paid to the effects of high salt spray, high humidity, strong winds and corrosive environments on the equipment.
Anti-corrosion design
Material selection:
Heat exchanger tubes/fins: corrosion-resistant materials such as 316L stainless steel, titanium alloy or coated aluminum (e.g. epoxy resin coating).
Shell/frame: 304 stainless steel or hot-dipped galvanized steel (additional anti-corrosion treatment required).
Surface treatment:
The surface of the heat exchanger can be anodized, sprayed or coated against salt spray.
Stainless steel or galvanized parts are recommended for fasteners.
Salt spray and moisture protection
Protection of electrical components:
The motor and control box should meet IP55/IP65 protection level, and built-in moisture-proof heater.
The terminals are made of rust-resistant material, and the sealing ring should be resistant to salt spray.
Drainage design:
Drainage holes are provided at the bottom of the equipment to avoid water accumulation.
The inclined design (about 5°) promotes condensate drainage.
Installation Recommendations
Location Selection:
Away from the direct wave splash zone, preferably on the leeward side.
Allow 1.5m of space around the unit for maintenance.
