The scrubber is a pollution control device that uses a liquid (often water) to capture and remove pollutants from industrial exhaust gases.


Gas Heat Exchanger is a device that transfers heat from one fluid to another without the fluids coming into direct contact.

In this case, it's specifically designed to remove hydrogen fluoride gas.


The epoxy coating on the heat exchanger is to protect the metal surface from corrosion due to the corrosive nature of hydrogen fluoride. HF is highly corrosive to many metals, so the epoxy coating provides a barrier to prevent the gas from reacting with the metal surface.


Function: As the hot gases flow through the heat exchanger, they transfer their heat to another fluid, such as water or air. At the scrubber outlet, the gases pass through the scrubber where they come into contact with the liquid (water, for example) that captures the hydrogen fluoride gas.


Hydrogen fluoride gas reacts with water to form hydrofluoric acid (HF). The scrubber contains water or another suitable liquid that reacts with the HF gas, capturing it in solution. This prevents the HF from being released into the atmosphere, where it can be harmful to the environment and human health.


By using this system, the industrial process can effectively remove hydrogen fluoride gas from its exhaust gases, protecting the environment.
