Case Background: In the cooling process after palm oil refining, the high temperature palm oil needs to be quickly cooled to a suitable storage temperature to ensure the quality of palm oil. A palm oil processing plant used finned tube heat exchanger as cooling equipment.

Equipment parameters: The heat exchanger is made of stainless steel to meet food grade hygiene standards. Fin using high-frequency welding process and the base tube tightly combined, fin spacing according to the characteristics of palm oil is set to 8-12mm, not only to ensure a certain degree of heat transfer efficiency, but also to reduce the possibility of palm oil impurities clogging the fins.

Application effect: By using this finned tube heat exchanger, palm oil can be quickly cooled from the high temperature after refining (e.g. 180-240℃) to the storage temperature of 30-50℃ with high cooling efficiency and stable operation. At the same time, due to the stainless steel material and reasonable fin spacing design, the maintenance cost and frequency of the equipment is reduced.

Case background: In the production process of palm oil, such as the cooking of palm fruits and the preheating of fats and oils, palm oil or related materials need to be heated. A large palm oil producer selected SRL type finned tube heat exchanger for steam heating palm oil process.

Equipment Parameters: The internal structure of SRL finned tube heat exchanger is a three-layer cross type arrangement with larger tube diameter to meet the larger heat exchange demand. The fins are made of aluminum, the base tube is stainless steel, and the fin height is 15-25mm, which increases the heat exchange area and improves the heat exchange efficiency. The heat exchanger is suitable for steam systems and can effectively transfer the heat from steam to palm oil.

Application effect: The finned tube heat exchanger can quickly heat palm oil to the required temperature with good temperature uniformity, avoiding the problem of localized overheating that leads to the deterioration of the oil. Meanwhile, the use of aluminum fins reduces the cost of the equipment under the premise of ensuring the heat transfer effect.
