Evaporators for Tube Drying Containerized Drying Equipment
The Role of Evaporator in Pipe Drying
Dehumidifying function: In the process of pipe drying, the evaporator works through the refrigeration cycle. When humid air flows over the surface of the evaporator, the water vapor in the air condenses into liquid water on the low-temperature surface of the evaporator. This is because the temperature of the evaporator is lower than the dew point temperature of the air, allowing the water vapor to change from a gaseous state to a liquid state, thus reducing the humidity of the air. For example, in oil pipeline drying, the pipeline may contain a large amount of moisture, and this moist air is introduced into the containerized drying equipment, and after passing through the evaporator, the humidity can be significantly reduced.
Heat exchange: The evaporator is also involved in the heat exchange process. In the refrigeration cycle, the refrigerant absorbs heat and undergoes a phase change in the evaporator, changing from a liquid state to a gaseous state. This process removes heat from the surrounding air, causing the air temperature to drop. The low-temperature air, after subsequent heating and other treatments, can be used to dry the pipes, preventing them from being damaged due to high temperatures during the drying process.
Layout and Installation of Evaporator in Container
Space utilization and air circulation: In the container type drying equipment, the layout of the evaporator should give full consideration to space utilization and air circulation. Generally speaking, the evaporator should be installed on the air flow channel, so that the moist air can flow evenly through the surface of the evaporator. Equipment such as fans can be used to direct the air flow to ensure that the air has sufficient contact time with the evaporator. For example, the evaporator is mounted vertically on one side of the container, with air inlets and air outlets at its front and rear, and air is introduced from the air inlet through a fan and discharged from the air outlet after passing through the evaporator.
Cooperate with other equipments: The evaporator also needs to work with other equipments such as compressor, condenser, filter drier and so on. Inside the container, the connecting pipes between these equipments should be as short as possible to minimize heat loss and pressure drop. At the same time, the space for repair and maintenance of the equipment should be considered, and a certain amount of space should be reserved around the evaporator to facilitate the technicians to carry out cleaning, inspection and maintenance work.
