Evaporator for Frozen Spirals for The Food Industry
Evaporator is an important part of the refrigeration system, together with the compressor, condenser, throttle valve constitute the refrigeration cycle. The high-pressure liquid refrigerant from the condenser enters the evaporator after pressure reduction through the throttle valve, and absorbs the heat of the cooled object (food) in the evaporator, changing from liquid to gas to realize the refrigeration effect.
In the spiral freezer, the evaporator exchanges heat with the foodstuff through heat transfer pipes such as copper or aluminum tubes. When the food moves on the spiral conveyor belt, the refrigerant inside the evaporator continuously absorbs the heat of the food, so that the temperature of the food is rapidly reduced to achieve the purpose of freezing.
Finned structure: Finned heat exchanger structure is usually used, that is, fins are installed on the surface of the heat transfer tube to increase the heat transfer area and improve the heat transfer efficiency. The fins are usually made of aluminum or copper, which have good thermal conductivity.
Multi-circuit design: In order to ensure the uniform distribution of refrigerant in the evaporator and improve the cooling effect, the evaporator usually adopts multi-circuit design, so that the refrigerant can flow evenly through each heat transfer tube.
Stainless steel: Considering the hygienic requirements of the food industry, the shell and heat transfer tubes of the evaporator are generally made of stainless steel, which is corrosion-resistant and easy to clean.
