Dry Coolers for the Injection Moulding Machine Industry
Dry coolers have important applications in the injection moulding machine industry.
Injection moulding machines generate a large amount of heat during operation and require effective cooling to ensure normal operation and product quality. Dry coolers provide efficient and stable cooling for injection moulding machines.
The advantages include:
Energy saving and high efficiency: Compared with traditional cooling methods, dry coolers can utilise energy more efficiently and reduce energy costs.
Stability: The ability to maintain stable cooling performance under different working conditions helps to improve the production stability of injection moulding machines.
Reduced maintenance: relatively simple structure, low maintenance costs, and maintenance work is relatively simple.
Strong ability to adapt to the environment: it can work normally under various harsh environmental conditions, and has better adaptability to the ambient temperature and humidity.
Components of the cooling system of the injection moulding machine:
Loop: This is the key part of the cooling system. By setting up cooling waterways inside the mould, the coolant (usually water or oil) circulates and takes away the heat generated by the mould due to the injection process, so as to ensure the rapid cooling and shaping of the plastic products.
2. oil cooler: used to reduce the temperature of the hydraulic oil, to prevent the oil temperature is too high to affect the performance and life of the hydraulic system.
3. dry cooler or cooling tower: provides low temperature cooling water for the cooling system to help dissipate heat from the system.
4. water pump: drives the coolant to circulate in the cooling circuit, ensuring that the coolant reaches the parts that need to be cooled.
5. water tank: stores the coolant to ensure that the cooling system has an adequate supply of coolant.
6. Cooling pipes and connectors: connect the cooling components together to form a complete cooling circuit.
7. temperature sensors and controllers: used to monitor the temperature of the coolant in the cooling system and control the operation of the cooling system according to the set temperature range, such as adjusting the speed of the water pump or the fan speed of the dry cooler.
