The system uses the outdoor dry cooler to exchange heat with the outdoor air, and then uses the glycol aqueous solution as a carrier coolant to provide a cooling source for the indoor unit's energy-saving coils in order to lower the temperature of the equipment room. The unit adopts microcomputer control, when the difference between the glycol return water temperature and the temperature of the equipment room is 7℃, the natural cooling source can be partially utilised, and the insufficient part will be supplemented by the compressor refrigeration. When the temperature difference reaches 14℃ or more, the dry cooler can completely replace the compressor refrigeration, thus realising energy saving.
Natural cooling air-conditioners make use of the low freezing point of aqueous ethylene glycol solution, which is used as a refrigerant to cool down the temperature in winter. The higher the concentration of aqueous glycol solution, the lower its freezing point, so the concentration of glycol solution should be adjusted according to the lowest temperature of the local winter. The specific heat of aqueous ethylene glycol solution is less than that of water, and the specific heat will be further reduced with the increase of its concentration. For example, natural cooling type special air-conditioning unit in the winter glycol solution concentration is generally 30%, at this time its freezing point is -28 ℃, the specific heat of 3.412kj/kg - ℃; and in the extreme cold areas of the application of the glycol ratio concentration of 50%, at this time, its freezing point is -35 ℃, the specific heat of 2.931kj/kg - ℃. It can be seen that the proportional concentration of ethylene glycol solution will affect the size of its heat transfer capacity, according to the heat transfer formula can be calculated for ethylene glycol solution and dry cooler heat transfer.
