Aluminum tube and aluminum heat exchanger in the field of domestic and commercial air conditioners
Household split air conditioners: the evaporator of the indoor unit and the condenser of the outdoor unit are generally made of aluminum tubes and aluminum sheets -- the aluminum tubes are responsible for transporting refrigerants (e.g., R32, R410A), and the aluminum sheets are optimized for the spacing of the fins (usually 2-3mm) to expand the heat exchange area, which is combined with the blower to achieve the heat exchange between the air and the refrigerant. Compared to copper tubes and fins, the cost of the whole unit can be reduced by about 15%-25%, and the weight of the outdoor unit can be reduced (easy to install).
Commercial cabinet air conditioners / duct units: For the condenser / evaporator of small and medium-sized commercial air conditioners (e.g., 2-10 hp cabinet units, ceiling duct units), the cost-effective advantage of aluminum tubes and sheets is highlighted because there is no need to deal with extreme high-pressure or highly corrosive environments. Although the thermal conductivity of aluminum (about 237W/(m・K)) is lower than that of copper (about 401W/(m・K)), the difference in thermal conductivity efficiency is compensated for by increasing the density of the fins and optimizing the design of the tubes, so as to meet the requirements for commercial scenarios. However, by increasing the fin density and optimizing the tube design, the difference in thermal conductivity can be compensated for to meet the heat transfer needs of commercial scenarios.
