Water Cooled Chiller Working Principle
Water-cooled chiller is a common refrigeration equipment, mainly composed of compressor, evaporator, condenser, throttling device and other components, its working principle is based on the inverse Carnot cycle, through the refrigerant in the various components of the state changes to achieve the refrigeration effect, the specific process is as follows:
Compression process: the compressor will evaporator out of the low-temperature, low-pressure refrigerant gas inhalation, after compression, the refrigerant gas pressure and temperature rise, into a high-temperature, high-pressure refrigerant gas. This process consumes electricity, so that the refrigerant has the conditions for the release of heat in the condenser.
Condensation process: high temperature and high pressure refrigerant gas into the condenser, in the condenser, the refrigerant gas and cooling water for heat exchange. The cooling water absorbs the heat of the refrigerant, so that the refrigerant gas cools and condenses into a high-temperature, high-pressure liquid. At this time, the heat of the refrigerant is transferred to the cooling water, the temperature of the cooling water rises, and is sent to the cooling tower for cooling and recycling.
Throttling process: After the high temperature and high pressure refrigerant liquid passes through the throttling device (e.g. expansion valve), the pressure decreases sharply, and the refrigerant liquid becomes low temperature and low pressure wet vapor and enters into the evaporator. Throttling process, the temperature and pressure of the refrigerant is lowered, for the evaporator in the heat absorption and evaporation to create the conditions.
Evaporation process: low-temperature, low-pressure refrigerant wet vapor evaporates in the evaporator, absorbing the heat of the chilled water, so that the temperature of the chilled water is reduced. Refrigerant liquid in the evaporator completely evaporated into low temperature and low pressure refrigerant gas, and then again by the compressor to start a new cycle.
Through the continuous cycle of the above four processes, the water-cooled chiller can continuously transfer the heat of the chilled water to the cooling water, thus realizing the cooling of the chilled water, providing low-temperature chilled water for the air-conditioning system, industrial production and so on.
