Its core role in gas energy storage: The air compressor's interstage cooling system generates significant heat during multi-stage compression of the air. This heat is rapidly cooled via a heat exchanger, reducing compression power consumption and improving overall system efficiency.

Final cooling after compression brings the high-temperature, high-pressure compressed air to a set temperature before it is sent to an underwater gas storage chamber/high-pressure tank, stabilizing storage pressure and volumetric efficiency.

Expander inlet preheating/regenerative heating utilizes recovered waste heat to preheat the inlet air, improving expansion power generation output and cycle efficiency, achieving cascaded utilization of waste heat in the energy storage system.

The system's closed-loop temperature control system stabilizes the operating temperature of the gas medium, protecting the compressor, expander, and pipeline seals, making it suitable for high-pressure, high-humidity, and corrosive underwater environments.
