Steam Coils in Palm Oil Production Processes

Steam coils are often used for heat exchange and heating operations in the palm oil production process. Palm oil production involves a number of process steps, some of which require thermal energy to facilitate reactions, heat or evaporate material. Cooking: In palm oil processing, steam coils can be used to steam palm fruits to soften the pulp and help extract the oil.

Dewaxing: Steam coils can be used in the palm oil dewaxing process to melt the waxes at the appropriate temperature to facilitate subsequent filtration and separation.

Hydrogenation: In the hydrogenation of palm oil, steam coils provide the heat required to induce the oil molecules to react with hydrogen and change their chemical structure.

Steam coils transfer high temperature and high pressure steam to the material or fluid to be heated through the coil by means of steam heat transfer to achieve the exchange and transfer of heat energy. This improves productivity, speeds up reaction rates, and ensures that the process steps are carried out smoothly.
