The Role of HVAC Coils
The coils in an HVAC system are primarily used to transfer heat through the system. In mushroom houses, these coils are often used to control the room temperature and ensure a stable temperature environment throughout the mushroom growing cycle.
How it works
HVAC coils transfer heat to or remove heat from the interior of the mushroom room by flowing a hot or cold medium, such as cold water or steam, through the interior of the coil. For example, when the temperature needs to be lowered, cold water can flow through the coil, absorbing heat from the room and removing it, thus lowering the room temperature. Conversely, when the temperature needs to be increased, hot water or steam can flow through the coil, releasing heat into the room.
