Working Principle
In transcritical CO₂ cycles, supercritical CO₂ (high pressure, no phase change) enters the gas cooler at 80–120 bar and 90–150°C. Ambient air (or water) flows across stainless steel finned coils, removing heat via forced convection. The cooled CO₂ exits at 35–50°C and remains above critical pressure, ready for expansion. The process is a closed, dry, waterless loop with zero refrigerant loss.
