It is a core auxiliary heat exchange equipment installed in the conventional island of nuclear power plants. It adopts tube-fin structure to forcibly cool the circulating air inside large generators, dissipate heat generated by stator and rotor windings during operation, keep the generator operating temperature within the safe range, and ensure long-term stable, safe and efficient operation of nuclear power generating units.
Working Principle
Hot air heated by generator windings flows through the fin gaps of the cooler.
Heat is transferred to cooling medium inside tubes (air /closed-circuit cooling water).
Cooled clean air circulates back into the generator to complete the cyclic cooling process.
Key Advantages
High Safety & Reliability
Designed in accordance with nuclear power standards, seismic resistant, no leakage risk, suitable for long-term continuous operation.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance
Full anti-corrosion material configuration, adapt to high humidity, dust and complex indoor environment of nuclear power plant.
High Heat Exchange Efficiency
Optimized tube-fin layout, stable cooling effect, effectively control generator temperature rise.
Long Service Life
Design life up to 40 years, low failure rate and minimal maintenance.
Clean & Pollution-Free
Closed circulating structure, no foreign matter entering the generator, protect internal insulation components.
Application
Nuclear power plant conventional island large turbo-generator set
Main generator cooling system of PWR / BWR nuclear units
Auxiliary generator & emergency power unit cooling
