Finned tube heat exchanger freeze cracking causes and measures


      Finned tube heat exchanger freeze crack damage is mainly due to the following reasons:

      1, large heat transfer area. During the whole process of using in winter, due to the water flow of the cooling water system is too small, the inner side of the fan coil on the side of the new air system is frozen, and then it is damaged by freezing.

      2、It is not well solved in the whole process of installation and pipe threading, so that there is water on its low value, which is easy to freeze in winter and then be frozen and damaged.

      3, Failure of condensate discharge due to leakage of gate valve can also lead to freeze damage.

      According to the above reasons for the finned tube heat exchanger freezing and cracking, the measures that can be used are:

      1, the heat transfer area of the equipment should not be left with a large capacity. And if the heating area is much lower than the cooling area, a separate air heater can be set up to avoid consumption.

      2, The condensing device is placed behind the air heater to avoid this problem.

      3、The installation and threading of finned tube heat exchanger should be carried out in accordance with the requirements and standards and should not be violated.

      4、Gate valves should be checked frequently and repaired or replaced if they are damaged, mainly the traps.
