Finned tube heat exchanger for heating furnace to heat additive barrels with hot air
Finned tube heat exchangers can be used to transfer hot air to additive drums to heat the additives in them. The following is the general process of applying a finned tube heat exchanger to the heating of an additive drum:
Hot air generation: Hot air is generated using combustion equipment (e.g. coal-fired boilers, gas-fired boilers, electric heaters, etc.) or other thermal energy equipment. The hot air can be high temperature dry air or other suitable gas, the temperature and flow rate of which should meet the heating requirements.
Finned tube heat exchanger: A finned tube heat exchanger usually consists of a number of parallel arranged ducts, each with fins on them. The hot air flows through these ducts through the fins and exchanges heat with the additive drum outside the ducts.
Heat exchange: As the hot air passes through the finned tube heat exchanger, heat is transferred from the hot air to the additive in the additive drum. The efficient heat transfer capability of the finned tube heat exchanger quickly transfers heat to the additive to achieve the heating effect.
Temperature control: A temperature sensor or other temperature control device is used to monitor the temperature in the additive drum and adjust the temperature or flow rate of the hot air as required to maintain the desired heating temperature.
Hot air circulation: The cooled hot air can be fed back into the finned tube heat exchanger via a circulation system to increase the efficiency of heat utilisation. This can be achieved by means of fans or other circulation devices.
