Finned Tube Steam Condenser for Turbine System is a key equipment used in turbine system
Steam condensation: High temperature and high pressure steam from the turbine enters the condenser and comes into contact with the finned tube surface. As there is usually a cooling medium (e.g. water) flowing outside the finned tube, the steam transfers heat to the cooling medium, reduces its own temperature and undergoes a phase change, transforming from a gaseous state to a liquid state to achieve the condensation process.
Heat transfer: Heat is transferred from the steam side to the cooling medium side through the wall of the finned tube. The role of the fins is to increase the heat transfer area and improve the heat transfer efficiency so that the steam can dissipate heat and condense more quickly. The cooling medium continuously removes heat and maintains the temperature difference within the condenser to promote continuous heat transfer.
Structural characteristics
Finned tube: the core component, composed of base tube and fins. The base tube is usually a metal tube, such as steel tube, with good thermal conductivity and mechanical strength. The fins are tightly connected to the surface of the base tube, and can be in different forms, such as winding type, rolling type, inlaid type and so on. The shape, size and spacing of the fins affect the heat transfer and resistance characteristics of the condenser.
Shell: used to accommodate the finned tube and steam, cooling medium, etc.. The shell is generally a steel structure and needs to have sufficient strength and sealing to withstand internal pressure and prevent leakage of the medium. The shell is also equipped with steam inlet, condensate outlet, cooling medium inlet and outlet and other interfaces.
Tube plate: the part connecting the finned tube and the shell, playing the role of fixing and supporting the finned tube. The tube plate is provided with holes matching the number and size of finned tubes, and the finned tubes are fixed on the tube plate by means of expansion or welding.
Other parts: also includes folding plate, support plate and so on. The folding plate is used to change the flow direction of the cooling medium, increase the contact time and the degree of disturbance between the cooling medium and the finned tube, and improve the heat transfer effect; the support plate is used to strengthen the strength of the tube plate and the shell, and to prevent the structure from damage due to pressure and vibration during operation.
