Cooling Coil for York Air Cooled Chiller 327517510000
The cooling coil of an air-cooled chiller includes a condenser coil and an evaporator coil. In the refrigeration cycle, the compressor compresses the low-temperature, low-pressure gaseous refrigerant into a high-temperature, high-pressure gaseous refrigerant, which then enters the condenser coil. In the condenser, the high-temperature, high-pressure gaseous refrigerant exchanges heat with the outside air through the cooling coil, the heat is taken away by the air, and the refrigerant cools and condenses into a high-pressure liquid refrigerant. Then, the high-pressure liquid refrigerant is throttled through the expansion valve or capillary tube to become a low-temperature, low-pressure liquid or gas-liquid mixture, and enters the evaporator coil. In the evaporator, the low-temperature, low-pressure refrigerant absorbs the heat of the circulating water (or cooling medium), and the refrigerant evaporates into a gaseous state, while lowering the temperature of the water to produce cold water.
It usually consists of copper tubes and aluminum fins, with the refrigerant going inside the copper tubes and the aluminum fins installed outside the copper tubes to increase the heat dissipation area. There are also some coils made of other materials such as stainless steel tubes for special environments.
Efficient cooling coils can improve the cooling efficiency of air-cooled chillers, reduce energy consumption, and reduce operating costs. Good heat exchange performance can make the refrigerant fully dissipate heat in the condenser and fully absorb heat in the evaporator, improving the efficiency of the refrigeration cycle.
