Coils in Air Conditioning Equipment
There are two main types of coils in air conditioning equipment: evaporator coils and condenser coils.
The function of the evaporator coil is to absorb heat from the room and change the refrigerant from a liquid to a gaseous state, thus achieving a cooling effect. For example, on a hot summer day when the air conditioner is running, the evaporator coil cools the air in the room, making us feel cooler.
The condenser coil, on the other hand, is responsible for discharging the heat in the refrigerant to the outside, changing the refrigerant from a gaseous state back to a liquid state. For example, in an air conditioner outside unit, the condenser coil emits heat to keep the air conditioner running continuously.
The material and design of the coil has a significant impact on the efficiency and performance of the air conditioner. Quality coils usually have good thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance, which improves the cooling and heating effect of the air conditioner and extends the life of the air conditioner.
