Coil Replaccement Project for Rooftop Air Conditioning Unit
In rooftop air conditioning systems, the condenser coil plays a crucial role in the refrigeration cycle. The condenser coil is part of the outdoor unit of the air conditioning system and is responsible for releasing heat absorbed from inside the building.
Here's how it generally works:
Refrigerant Compression: The refrigerant (a substance with low boiling and freezing points) absorbs heat from inside the building and becomes a high-pressure, high-temperature gas.
Condensation: The hot refrigerant gas flows into the condenser coil located in the outdoor unit on the rooftop. As air from the outside is blown over the coils, the refrigerant releases heat and changes from a gas to a high-pressure liquid.
Heat Dissipation: The heat absorbed from inside the building is now released into the outdoor air. The condenser coil helps dissipate this heat efficiently.
Expansion Valve: The high-pressure liquid refrigerant then moves to the expansion valve, where it undergoes a sudden drop in pressure, turning it back into a low-pressure, low-temperature gas.
Evaporator Coil: The low-pressure gas is then directed to the indoor unit, where it absorbs heat from inside the building, and the cycle repeats.
The efficiency of the condenser coil is crucial for the overall performance of the air conditioning system.
