Chilled Water Coil Replacement

We have just supplied Chilled Water Coil to a customer from Saudi Arabia.

Here is the customer's request for quotation.

Air Side

Air flow rate: 12000 CMH

Air in: 600 c

Air out: 450 C

Heat rejection: 225 Kw

Chilled Water side

Water into Cooling Coil: 7 C

Water out from Cooling Coil: 12.6 C

Chilled water coils are heat exchanger components used in air handling units (AHUs), HVAC systems and other cooling applications to transfer heat between air and chilled water circuits. These coils play a vital role in cooling buildings and maintaining a comfortable indoor environment. Here are some key points about chilled water coils:

Components and Construction:

- Tubes: chilled water coils usually consist of a bundle of copper or aluminium tubes through which chilled water flows. These tubes are responsible for transporting the chilled water through the coil.

- Fins: Fins are attached to the outside of the tubes and their purpose is to increase the surface area for heat exchange. They help to increase the efficiency of heat transfer between air and chilled water.

- COLLECTORS: Collector tubes are the inlet and outlet manifolds attached to the tubes. Chilled water is supplied through one manifold and returned through the other.

Applications:

- Air Conditioning: Chilled water coils are typically used in Air Handling Units (AHUs) as part of a central HVAC system to cool and dehumidify air before it is distributed throughout the building.

- PROCESS COOLING: They are also used in industrial applications to cool equipment or processes that generate heat.
