Aluminum Fin Copper Tube Condenser Coil
Tubes: Usually made of copper, stainless steel or other materials with good thermal conductivity. For instance, pure copper tubes are often used in high heat transfer efficiency scenarios due to copper's excellent thermal conductivity. The outer diameter of the tubes typically ranges from 4mm to 16mm, with a wall thickness of 0.2mm to 1mm.
Fins: Generally made of aluminum or materials with similar properties. They are installed on the outer surface of the tubes to increase the heat transfer area. The thickness of the fins is usually between 0.1mm and 0.3mm.
Other Components: May include headers, side plates, distributors and manifolds. These components play roles in guiding and distributing the fluid and ensuring the normal operation of the condenser coil.
Working Principle
Heat Transfer Process: When the hot refrigerant vapor flows through the tubes of the fin tube condenser coil, heat is transferred from the inside of the tubes to the outside through the tube walls. The fins on the outside of the tubes increase the heat transfer area, enabling more efficient heat exchange with the surrounding air or cooling medium. As a result, the refrigerant vapor releases heat and condenses into a liquid state.
Enhanced Heat Transfer Mechanism: The fins not only increase the heat transfer area but also enhance the turbulence of the fluid on the air side or the cooling medium side. This reduces the thermal resistance and improves the heat transfer coefficient, thereby enhancing the overall heat transfer efficiency.
Applications
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems: In household air conditioners, central air conditioning systems and refrigeration units, fin tube condenser coils are used to condense the refrigerant vapor into a liquid, completing the heat release process in the refrigeration cycle.
Industrial Cooling: In industrial production processes, such as chemical plants, power plants and data centers, they are used to cool various process fluids and equipment to ensure their normal operation.
Heat Pump Systems: In heat pump water heaters and heat pump heating systems, fin tube condenser coils play a role in releasing heat to the outside during the heating cycle.
