Stainless Steel Tube Coils for Heat Recovery in Wastewater

Stainless steel tube coils can be used for heat recovery in sewage for preheating incoming water or heating other process media. In wastewater treatment processes, the resulting effluent contains a certain amount of heat energy, usually due to the discharge of industrial wastewater or hot water. Stainless steel tube and fin heat exchangers can be used to recover the heat energy from the sewage and transfer it to other media, such as feed water or other process media that need to be heated.

The working principle of heat recovery heat exchanger in sewage is as follows:

Sewage entering the heat exchanger: Sewage is transported from the sewage treatment process to the heat exchanger.

Heat exchange: The heat energy in the effluent is transferred through the surface of the stainless steel tube coil to the cooling medium in the heat exchanger, usually water or air. The finned tubes are designed to maximise the surface area for heat exchange, thereby increasing the heat exchange efficiency.

Heat Recovery: The cooling medium absorbs heat energy from the effluent after passing through the heat exchanger and raises its own temperature. The temperature of the effluent is lowered, and the recovered heat energy can be used to preheat the feed water or other process media that need to be heated.

Cooling cycle: The cooled medium after heat exchange is then transported back into the cycle to continue the heat recovery process.

Through the application of stainless steel tube and fin heat exchanger, the heat energy in the sewage is effectively recovered, which can be used to preheat incoming water or heat other process media, thus improving the efficiency of energy use and saving energy resources. Such a heat recovery process is of great significance for the operational efficiency and energy savings of wastewater treatment plants, and also helps to reduce operating costs and environmental pollution.
