Principle of gas-to-gas heat exchanger


Gas-to-gas heat exchanger is a device that uses air for heat exchange, which is mainly used for heating or cooling gases in industrial production processes.


The gas-to-gas heat exchanger enables the transfer of energy between two gases of different temperatures, so that the cold gas entering the heat exchanger is heated while the hot gas is cooled. The heat transfer methods of gas-gas heat exchangers include convection, radiation and conduction.


Among them, convection is the most important heat transfer method, and its heat transfer coefficient is affected by the flow rate, flow rate, flow channel shape and other factors. In a gas-gas heat exchanger, the flow rate depends on the size of the heat exchanger and the amount of gas to be transferred.


When two gases flow through a gas-gas heat exchanger, they exchange heat between the high-temperature region and the low-temperature region, which reduces and equilibrates the temperature difference. At this point, heat flows from the high-temperature gas to the low-temperature gas until the temperatures of the two gases are equal or close to each other.
