Immersion Type Evaporator for Use in Chiller

An immersion evaporator is a common type of evaporative cooling equipment used in chillers to transfer heat from the condenser to the cooling medium (usually water) and evaporate the water to absorb the heat for cooling purposes. These evaporators are usually designed with highly efficient heat transfer surfaces, such as spirals or plates, to increase the contact area with the water and thus improve heat transfer efficiency.

In chillers, immersion evaporators are usually installed in cooling water tanks or troughs to ensure full contact with the cooling water. The cooling medium (water) is pumped to the surface of the evaporator by means of a pump to create a heat exchange between it and the hot condensate (usually refrigerant). As the heat released by the hot condensate is transferred to the water, the water gradually evaporates and carries away the heat, thus achieving a cooling effect.

The immersion evaporator plays an important role in the chiller unit, and its design and selection need to take into account the refrigeration demand of the unit, environmental conditions, and conditions of use in order to ensure the efficient operation and long-term stability of the unit.
