The flue gas waste heat recovery heat exchanger is a device used to recover heat energy from industrial flue gas. Its principle is to transfer the heat in the flue gas to the work material (e.g. water or air) flowing through the heat exchanger through heat transfer, so as to achieve the recovery and utilisation of energy.

The following is a brief description of the working principle and application of the flue gas waste heat recovery heat exchanger:


Flue gas flowing through the heat exchanger: Flue gas from industrial processes is discharged through chimneys or flue gas discharge pipes. The flue gas contains a large amount of heat energy, including high temperature flue gas, soot and exhaust gases. This flue gas is channelled into the flue gas heat recovery heat exchanger.


Heat transfer process: The flue gas transfers heat in the heat exchanger to the recovery medium (e.g. water or air). The heat in the flue gas is transferred to the recovery medium by convection, conduction and radiation. This results in the flue gas cooling while the recovery medium is heated.


Waste heat recovery: As the flue gas cools, the heat energy in the flue gas is absorbed by the recovery medium in the heat exchanger. The recovery medium (e.g. water) becomes hot after passing through the heat exchanger and can be used for heating, steam generation, heating or other purposes in other industrial processes. By recovering heat from flue gases, energy consumption can be reduced and energy efficiency increased.


Flue gas waste heat recovery heat exchangers are used in a wide range of applications, especially in the industrial sector. The following are some common application areas:


Boiler system: Flue gas waste heat recovery heat exchanger can be used to recover heat energy from boiler flue gas for heating feed water or power generation.


Flue gas treatment systems: In some industrial processes, the flue gas produced needs to be treated to reduce pollution to the environment. Flue gas heat recovery heat exchangers can be used to recover the heat energy in the flue gas, thus reducing the energy consumption required in the treatment process.


Flue gas desulphurisation device: Flue gas desulphurisation is a common method of controlling sulphur dioxide emissions from industrial flue gas. The flue gas waste heat recovery heat exchanger can be used to recover the heat energy generated in the desulphurisation process and improve the efficiency of energy use.


Flue gas waste heat utilisation: Waste heat from flue gas can be used for heating, air conditioning, hot water supply and other purposes, thus reducing the need for other energy sources.
