Cooling: Through the evaporation and heat absorption of refrigerant in the evaporator coil, the heat of the air inside the banana ripening cold storage will be taken away, so as to reduce the temperature inside the storage, and provide a suitable low-temperature environment for the banana ripening, and the suitable temperature of the banana ripening in general is about 14-18℃.
Dehumidification: while lowering the air temperature, the water vapor in the air condenses into water droplets on the surface of the evaporator coil, so as to achieve the effect of dehumidification and control the humidity in the warehouse. Generally, the relative humidity in the banana ripening warehouse is maintained at about 85%-90%, which is more suitable to prevent the high humidity from causing banana rot or the breeding of diseases and pests.
Air circulation: with the fan and other equipment, the air in the warehouse is continuously flowing through the evaporator to realize air circulation flow, so that the temperature and humidity in the warehouse are distributed more evenly to ensure that the bananas can be ripened evenly.
Structural composition
Evaporator coil: usually made of copper or aluminum tube, with good thermal conductivity, the outer surface will generally be installed with aluminum fins to increase the heat dissipation area and improve the heat transfer efficiency. The refrigerant flows inside the coil and exchanges heat with the air outside the tube.
Fan: installed near or inside the evaporator, used to push the air flow through the evaporator coil, accelerate the heat exchange between the air and the coil, and at the same time, make the air in the warehouse to form a cycle, to ensure that the temperature and humidity are evenly distributed.
Drainage system: used to collect and discharge water droplets condensed on the surface of evaporator coil, generally including water catching tray, drain pipe and other components, to prevent water droplets from accumulating on the environment and equipment in the library.
Bracket and shell: used to support the evaporator coil and fan and other components, and to protect the internal components from the influence of the external environment, usually made of metal, with a certain degree of strength and corrosion resistance.
