Evaporator Cores in Vehicles

An evaporator core in a vehicle usually refers to the evaporator in an automotive air conditioning system. Automotive air conditioning systems consist of many components, of which the evaporator is one. The main function of the evaporator is to cool the air inside the vehicle by converting the refrigerant (usually refrigerant R134a or similar) from a liquid state to a gaseous state that absorbs heat from the surrounding air.

The evaporator is usually located in the dashboard of the vehicle, and it sends cooled air into the vehicle via a fan. This process cools the interior of the vehicle and provides a comfortable driving environment.

The evaporator core is the central part of the evaporator and is usually made of aluminium with fine channels and pleated structure to increase its surface area and improve the cooling effect. The design of the evaporator core affects the performance of the air conditioning system, including cooling efficiency and airflow.
