Dry Cooler with Immersion Cooling System for Asic Mining Machine in Production
Working Principle
Immersion Cooling: The ASIC mining machine is submerged in a dielectric fluid, such as mineral oil. This fluid has excellent heat - transfer properties and can effectively absorb the heat generated by the machine's components. As the components heat up, the heat is transferred to the surrounding fluid through conduction.
Dry Cooling: The warm dielectric fluid is pumped through a dry cooler. The dry cooler consists of a series of tubes and fins. As the fluid passes through the tubes, heat is transferred from the fluid to the tube walls by conduction. The fins then increase the surface area in contact with the air, allowing heat to be dissipated into the air by convection. The cooled fluid is then returned to the immersion tank to continue the cooling cycle.
Advantages
High Cooling Efficiency: The combination of immersion cooling and dry cooling can efficiently remove a large amount of heat from the ASIC mining machine, ensuring that the machine operates at a suitable temperature and improving its stability and performance. The dielectric fluid has a higher heat - transfer coefficient than air, enabling more effective heat absorption and transfer.
Low Noise: Compared to traditional air - cooling systems that use fans, immersion cooling systems with dry coolers operate more quietly because there are no fans directly blowing on the mining machine. This is particularly advantageous in environments where noise reduction is a concern, such as in residential areas or office buildings.
Dust and Corrosion Resistance: The immersion fluid provides a protective barrier around the ASIC mining machine, preventing dust, dirt, and moisture from coming into contact with the components. This helps to reduce the risk of dust accumulation, which can affect heat dissipation and lead to component failure, as well as corrosion caused by exposure to the environment.
Energy Savings: Although the dry cooler itself consumes some energy, the overall energy consumption of the immersion cooling system with a dry cooler can be lower than that of traditional air - cooling systems. This is because immersion cooling allows the mining machine to operate more efficiently, reducing the need for excessive cooling power, and the energy - efficient design of the dry cooler further contributes to energy savings.
